Injy previously served as a superintendent for a high-performing charter school where she initiated a multi-year curriculum redesign plan. Top priorities included incorporating disciplinary thinking skills into each subject, integrating discourse into all classes, and auditing the curriculum for procedural structures that encouraged dependent learning. As both a coach of people and program, Injy was responsible for developing the curriculum team to be able to produce rigorous, culturally and historically responsive unit plans. She owned multiple aspects of teacher development including training leaders on the teacher evaluation system and designing and delivering academic summer training for over 600 teachers.

Prior to her district leadership experience, Injy led an elementary school turnaround by focusing on cultivating a warm and rigorous environment in which children and adults would thrive, resulting in staff retention rates rising to the highest levels in the school’s history. With the shifts in the learning environment and increasing teacher longevity, academic results progressively became stronger each year; proficiency on state exams grew 30-45 percentage points in all grades and subjects over the course of her tenure as principal, surpassing host district, city and state averages.

Injy’s coaching training experiences have been diverse, spanning from directive coaching programs such as Relay’s National Principal Supervisor Academy to more transformational coaching programs such as Bright Morning and the Noble Story Group (Emotional Intelligence based leadership development). She has been coaching since 2010, partnering with teachers, principals, superintendents and C-level officers.
